Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Id Document 2025 nsfas application numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not nsfas status to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply here for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
